Handcraft

Handcraft takes time.
Much of the work remains hidden. Every single step of the process has its own significance on the long path to the finished piece.
The design, individual consultation, careful selection of high-quality materials, implementation, photos, beautiful packaging... there is no place for rushing here. This is why I see my work as a personal stand against the ever-growing demands of our time for speed and efficiency.
Craft processes have their own inherent rhythm, which must be respected if the result is to be a high-quality and durable product.
This is why I consciously choose to implement each and every step of the work process carefully and attentively, to appreciate every little detail and to pause, which is sometimes necessary, to check whether I am still on the right path.

The result is both a harmonious and enduring item of jewelry and an homage to the handcraft behind it.

Sustainability

I adopt the same conscientious approach to selecting the materials I work with. As a jewelry creator, I feel it is my duty to actively contribute to improving working conditions and protecting the environment when it comes to the extraction of raw materials. For this reason, since 2020 I have been a registered member of the Fairmined initiative, which advocates socially-just and environmentally-friendly small-scale mining. Fair pay and equal rights for mine workers, guaranteed occupational health and safety and the avoidance of child labour are just some of the aspects worthy of note. The supply chain of precious metals is always fully traceable back to the mine where they were taken from the ground. You can find more information at www.fairmined.org .

I pursue the same goal when procuring gemstones. Here, too, I only source new material from socially-responsible and environmentally-friendly small-scale mining operations with a traceable supply chain.

As a result, I am engaged in a process of change with the aim of continuous improvement.

All the materials already in my possession before this changeover will of course be used. These are sustainably processed precious metals, which I sourced exclusively from certified refineries that work according to the guidelines of the Responsible Jewelery Council.

The gemstones come exclusively from trusted dealers.

Upon request, I will be happy to give you a detailed description of the origin of the materials used in each piece and I will gladly craft your item of jewelry from 100% fair-trade materials. When you purchase an item of jewelry from me, you will always be contributing to positive change and an ethical transformation of the gold industry.
